Holistic therapy treatments tailored to individual needs by a caring practitioner who believes in quality and outcome – all from a Cloud Cabin where your troubles melt away!
Where to find it
On the West Norfolk coast in the village of Heacham – 2 miles from Hunstanton – you’ll find Kyra Cruise’s home and business: Head in the Clouds. Entering your appointment through the garden gate you’ll be led to the Cloud Cabin; a haven of peace and quiet where uninterrupted relaxation and pampering takes place. Essentially it’s nothing more than a purpose built summerhouse but leaving your worries on the doorstep, there’s an almost mystical sense of calm and healing about this space; therapy seems to begin the moment you step in.
What to expect
The cabin decor is modern, clean and refreshing and sets an idyllic scene for imminent rest and relaxation. The environment is spot on so what about the therapist? Well its good news here too as Kyra is everything you’d hope a therapist to be. Qualifying in Swedish massage over 12 years ago, she has had her own fair share of illness. Retiring from work due to fluctuating health, she began treatments on her friends and family and studied for numerous qualifications with the British School of Yoga. A member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists, she is now a level three practitioner and offers a huge range of quality treatments within her successful home grown business.
What strikes you the most about Kyra is she genuinely cares and I think it is this simple humane factor that sets her apart from even the most expensive of high end spas. She doesn’t rush a session but involves herself in the personal satisfaction of helping others and improving their lives. Emphasis is on quality and outcome not running a conveyor belt of appointments. She goes out of her way to ensure she gives the best treatment she can with in-depth consultations, lifestyle profiles and individually tailored essential oils mixed uniquely for the client. She offers fully rounded holistic therapy, not just beauty treatments.
What treatments can you have?
Kyra is qualified in many areas of therapy and offers all the usual treatments plus other more specialised packages. Massage is a favourite; deep tissue for the likes of builders and landscape gardeners who she is happy to slot in at short notice when they’re in pain. Hot stone massage is a delight but try lava shells for an even better experience – they remain hot through a natural chemical reaction and therefore can glide over your body providing warmth and relaxation without any gaps for re-heating. Pregnancy and baby massage for fretful newborns are proving a hit too.
Holistic facials are particularly specialised here with essential oils being mixed to your individual requirements; they involve a steam treatment as well as a scalp, neck and shoulder massage, and you even get sample products to take home. Health issues are discussed and worked on and knowledgeable advice freely shared.
Products and group pamper experiences
Kyra is talented in making her own products too; with over 30 essential oils and the premise that if you can eat it, it’s safe to put on your skin, she creates truly natural body scrubs, lip balms and face masks. ‘Spa-in-a-Jar’ gifts start from just £8 and make lovely presents or ‘me-time’ treats.
Pamper evenings are growing in popularity and ideal for a group of friends or even strangers that meet and social. For £20 per person you get a twenty minute treatment, glass of fizz, nibbles and a goody bag to take home. Teens are catered for too with parties starting from £6 per child; young skin facials, temporary tattoos and nail art are sure to go down well. Workshops are also available where Kyra will show you how to make products yourselves; they last three hours and soup and a roll are included for lunch.
If you’re thinking of all this sounds too good to be true, you’ll be pleased to learn that prices for all treatments are very reasonable, particularly when you consider the in-depth nature and one-to-one care you receive. Add to this a loyalty scheme where you can save for free therapy time and I’m sure your minds are made up. Everyone deserves time in the Cloud Cabin. Go on, book your slot today.
Head in the Clouds is open seven days a week for morning, afternoon and evening bookings. Gift vouchers are available on request. Bespoke packages are available for individual needs and problems - please email Kyra for more information where she’ll be only too happy to help.
