Join Diva Opera, one of the country’s foremost chamber opera companies for their magnificent performance of Lucia di Lammermoor. Gaetano Donizetti’s darkly romantic tale of family honour, betrayal and madness. This tragic opera concerns the emotionally fragile Lucia who is caught in a feud between her own family and that of the Ravenswoods. Forced by her family to marry against her will, Lucia descends into madness, culminating in a chilling, blood-spattered wedding reception, one of the most iconic scenes in all opera. A tour-de-force of Italian Romantic opera at its most powerful and dramatic, Lucia di Lammermoor is the gleaming jewel in opera’s bel canto crown.

A great activity for families to enjoy together. Join our education team to explore the beautiful walled gardens and discover the wildlife and plants that live in this unique habitat.

Do you love walking but don't like to venture too far alone? Would you like to be sociable while enjoying the spectacular Holkham Estate? If so, come and join Holkham’s monthly walks.
This walk takes place in the walled gardens at Holkham and includes a guided tour with the landscape department. Each walk will last approximately 1.5 hours. Well behaved and sociable dogs on leads are welcome on the walk.

Alive with music and song and an array of especially designed puppet creatures, Mary’s story and The Secret Garden promises to capture the spirit of summer in our very own 'secret garden' at Holkham.
Join us for a series of short, gentle walks around the Holkham National Nature Reserve taking in the diverse habitats and seasonal highlights of the wildlife. From nesting lapwing in the spring to pink footed geese and fungi in the autumn, whatever the time of year there’s always lots to see.
The walk will last for approximately 2 hours. We meet and start at Lady Anne’s Drive, Holkham Beach. Due to the walks being wildlife centred, unfortunately dogs are not able to join us. Parking is available at Lady Anne’s Drive where standard parking charges apply.

Set out your picnic in the beautiful setting of Holkham park as Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra return for a fantastic night of jazz and blues music. Along with Jools’ special guest, Marc Almond, the 20-piece orchestra will be accompanied by the astounding vocal powers of Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Mabel Ray, as well as drummer and original Squeeze member, Gilson Lavis. The evening promises to be a boogie-woogie party not to be missed!
Last Night of the Proms returns to Holkham for an evening of stirring and popular classical music, with compere Fiona Bruce. Let the National Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Ben Crick enthral you with some of the country’s favourite patriotic pieces, with performances from mesmerising soprano Claire Ormshaw and acclaimed tenor Lee Bradley. Bring your picnics along for a fantastic evening’s entertainment concluding with a spectacular display of fireworks over Holkham park.
